Convert to SVG or from SVG
svgdot works in both directions. To convert to SVG, the PNG to SVG and JPG to SVG converters trace your image into vector shapes with the open-source VTracer engine, in color or in black and white. To convert from SVG, you can render it as a PNG or JPG at any size, or save it as a vector PDF for print.
The other tools cover the rest of the work with SVG files: an SVG viewer with a code editor, an optimizer that removes editor clutter, and a favicon generator that turns a logo into every icon a website needs.
Free SVG conversion without uploads
Most converters send your file to a server and send the result back. svgdot loads the conversion code into your browser instead, and the file is processed on your own computer or phone. That has three practical effects: private files such as unreleased logos stay with you, there are no queues or daily limits, and large images do not have to travel over your connection.
If you are new to the format, start with what an SVG file is; for website icons, see the favicon size guide.
A private SVG converter: your files stay on your device
Processed locally
The conversion happens inside your browser tab. The file is not sent to svgdot or to anyone else.
